Our May 17 meeting of Health TechNet featured a presentation on new developments and trends on healthcare consumerism, as well as exciting emerging company activities in Nashville, Tennessee, by Dr. Michael Burcham, President and CEO of the Entrepreneur Center in Nashville.
The discussion noted that the healthcare capital markets are on the move again. New investments are creating solutions to foster patient interaction in healthcare treatments and delivery using technology. This session focused on the healthcare consumer and highlighted a few of the new entrants in this space that are enhancing the patient-physician experience. Michael and the head of Nelson Mullins’ Nashville office, Jason Epstein, also discussed some of the many exciting and cutting edge activities in healthcare that are making that city a hub of entrepreneurialism and innovation in the U.S. healthcare industry.
